Hertfordshire Chorus | Rebrand

Chorus. Classy. Confident.

Hertfordshire Chorus, directed by David Temple, is one of the finest large amateur choirs in the country. The chorus sings in some of the top venues in the UK, with appearances in the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican. The brief was to create a modern, vibrant and distinctive brand identity that reflected their excellence, ambition and captured the energetic spirit of the performances.

In response, we developed a visual language that used expressive, dynamic paint splashes and brush marks to create an adaptable toolkit of brand imagery that was emotive, transcendental, abstract and full of vitality. The new logo is dynamic and fluctuating, using an underlying structure of four which allows each letter to be scaled. Together, the brand elements work to create a bold, contemporary voice for one of the UK’s most well regarded and notable choirs.

“The essence of a successful brand is to lead and not follow. David Carroll & Co’s excellent re-branding of Hertfordshire Chorus does just that – and will help the chorus to impress both visually as well as musically.”

David Temple, Conductor
